產(chǎn)品介紹 |
background: Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Krüppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins. Zinc finger protein 649 (ZNF649) is a 505 amino acid member of the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Localized to the nucleus, ZNF649 is highly expressed in heart, brain and skeletal muscle with lower levels of expression in lung, liver, kidney and pancreas. ZNF649 contains ten C2H2-type zinc fingers and one KRAB domain through which it is thought to be involved in DNA-binding and transcriptional repression of mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways. Function: Transcriptional repressor. Regulator of transcriptional factor complexes and may suppress SRE and AP-1 transcription activities mediated by growth factor signaling pathways. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Tissue Specificity: Highly expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, and brain. Lower expression in liver, lung, kidney, pancreas and placenta. Similarity: Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Contains 10 C2H2-type zinc fingers. Contains 1 KRAB domain.
